VRANJES BACK ON HAJDUK AGENDA

Hajduk Split are still hoping to sign former Croatia international midfielder Jurica Vranjes from Werder Bremen. Vranjes contract runs out in 2011, but Bremen are keen to offload the player who no longer has a working relationship with coach Thomas Schaff. Vranjes is expected to come straight into Hajduk's first team alongside Srdjan Andric as Marin Ljubicic has not done enough to convince Stanko Poklepovic he should start every match. Ljubicic will take the place of Mario Brkljaca on the bench, who is set to transfer across to the Russian Premier League side Sibir. Poklepovic was still thought to be keen on Brkljaca, however the player does not have a sure place in the team so would prefer to move across to Siberia.

Brkljaca's departure should be covered by Kreso Ljubicic when the player returns from injury. In addition Hajduk hope to give playing time to Franko Andriajsevic who is away on international duty with Croatia's Under 19 side.
