Atromotis are weighing up the future of striker Zdravko Popovic after the striker impressed on loan at OFI Crete last season. Atromotis have not seen enough of Popovic due to injury and are also living beyond their means with 6 strikers on their books.
Atromotis say they will let Popovic transfer if a team is willing to buy out the forwards contract. The 25 year old would be a sensible recruit for Hajduk Split who currently depend on Senijad Ibricic staying. Popovic has a good record of 18 goals in 75 games in Greece's top flight. Hajduk are currently giving an opportunity to Ahmad Sharbini, however the former Rijeka striker could benefit from playing alongside a strike partner. Duje Cop, 19 and Ante Vukusic, 18 are the only other strikers at the club.
Meanwhile NK Zagreb have signed up Albanian forward Xhevahir Sukaj as their new striker to replace Goran Ljubojevic who left for Sweden. Sukaj had been playing in Turkey, but also had a spell in Egypt. Zagreb may hope Sukaj's arrival may persuade Davor Vugrinec to stay on. Vugrinec was the leagues top scorer last season and is considering his next destination.
