KOLAROV TRANSFER COULD SPARK BALKAN HUNT

Serbian international Aleksandar Kolarov completed his transfer to Manchester City last week, putting £17m in the kitty of S.S Lazio. Former Hajduk Split coach Edy Reja could be about to return to his former club to acquire new players. Ivan Strinic and Senijad Ibricic could both be on Reja's agenda, whilst the club may also move on Hoffenheim's Bosnia Herzegovina striker Vedad Ibisevic who is also wanted by Juventus and Napoli.

Should a bid come from Lazio, Hajduk would have the funds to acquire Jurica Vranjes from Werder Bremen. Sibenik's Mehmed Alispahic is also seen as a direct replacement for Ibricic, whilst they may once again do battle with Dinamo for Ante Rukavina from Panathanaikos. Sibenik may part with Alispahic should a sufficient bid come along, having seen Ivan Fustar and Antonio Jakolis step up the mark in preseason. This week however it looks like the only deal between Hajduk and Sibenik, will take central defender Ante Aracic to Sibenik. Aracic could prove a major gain.
