Dinamo Zagreb have fired coach Velimir Zajec after just 3 HNL1 games. The reasons for the sacking centre mainly on the teams failures in front of goal. Cheif Executive Zdravko Mamic was particularly vocal on the omission of Pedro Morales which has baffled many Dinamo fans. In a bizarre twist defender Dario Simic also decided to end his playing career only a day later. Having spent time in such surroundings as Inter Milan, AC Milan and Monaco it would appear sitting on the bench in Zagreb was not to Simic's liking who at 34 regarded himself past his best. With Dinamo hunting for a coach Igor Pamic announced his commitment to Karlovac, whilst Branko Karacic appears to be putting himself forward. Rumours also suggest Dinamo could return to the steadying hand of Krunoslav Jurcic who had most of the players last season.
Meanwhile Sibenik have got themselves a new coach with Vjekoslav Lokic taking over. Defender Ante Aracic has also been recruited from Hajduk Split. Elsewhere striker Marijan Vuka is the latest player to train with Osijek, whilst searching for a new club. Osijek also accepted requests from Karlo Primorac and Marin Skender to train with them. Both players arguably made mistakes in parting the Gradski Vrt to pursue better contracts.
