SERTIC GOES TO LENS

Bordeaux have sent French born Croat Gregory Sertic on loan for the season to Ligue 1 side Lens. The 20 year old midfielder who is eligible for Croatia and France had a season curtailed by injury last season and is in need of regular football.

Stipe Pletikosa meanwhile has finally joined Tottenham Hotspur from Spartak Moscow. However the situation is far from simple for Pletikosa as Aurelio Gomes is a secure first choice, whilst Carlo Cuducini has returned to full fitness after a motor cycle accident.

Elsewhere Tomislav Sokota signed with Slovenian club Olympija Ljubljana after a move to OA Kavala fell through. Karlovac meanwhile made a sale with Mario Baric joining Gent for compensation in the region of 300,000 Euro's. Igor Budan signed with Italian Serie A new comers Cesana from Palermo. VfB Stuggart and Liverpool attempted to purchase HSV's Mladen Petric. However bids were rejected.

Drago Gabric has complete a surprise move from Trabzonspor to Ankaragucu. The Croatian international was under threat for his national team place from Kaiserslautern's Ivo Ilicevic and Club Brugge Ivan Perisic so has signed on loan to secure first team status. Domagoj Abramovic, mwanwhile lasted barely a month at OFI Crete and has signed instead for Pierikos Katerini of the Greek second division.
