Dinamo Zagreb star striker Mario Mandzukic could be on the verge of a move to Russian Premier League after Zenit St Petersburg were reported to be preparing a 9m Euro bid. The 23 year old Croatia international has been in muted form in the first half of the season, but has still delivered 11 goals in all competitions and 7 assists. After signing goalgetter Alexander Kerzakhov, Zenit see Mandzukic who has impressive ball carrying skills as a perfect partner.
Dinamo have been happy to offload Mandzo this winter if they recieved a bid in the region of 8m Euro's and Zenit seem capable of matching that fee, especially after offloading Fatih Tekke to Rubin Kazan and sending back Matija Kezman to PSG. CSKA Moscow and Dinamo Moscow also showed an interest in the player, who arrived from NK Zagreb in 2007.
Elsewhere Sasa Bjelanovic moved onto 6 goals for the season as Vicenza demolished Gallipoli 5-0. Mario Budimir continues to show progress at Ergotelis after netting the equaliser in a 1-1 draw against Olympiakos.
