Nikica Jelavic continue to show outstanding form in the Austrian league with his 8th league goal of the season in Rapid Vienna's 3-1 win over Kapfenburg. Jelavic showed excellant predatory instincts powerfully heading home from a cross following a counter attack. There also goals for Ivica Banovic (Frieburg 2 Wolfsburg 2) and Drago Gabric (Trabzonspor's win over Ankaraguca).
In Serie A Igor Budan fired his 5th of the season and third in the league in Palermo's victory over Cagliari. Leon Benko was also the matchwinner for Kortrijk as they defeated Zulte Waregem 1-0. Its was Benko's 5th of the season, ending a minor scoring drout for the ex Standard Liege player.
In Greece Pananios striker Bosko Balaban is showing he still has his goalscoring instinct, firing his 5th goal of the season in his 11th outing of the season against AEK Athens. The 31 year old scored the third goal in a 3-1 victory. Pananios are now up to fourth place in the table.
